Andrea Hilario

A North Jersey girl born and raised, Andrea grew up an avid reader and a fan of 1940s films starring Bette Davis and Katharine Hepburn. Evenings spent watching the History Channel and NOVA with her father, and paging through National Geographic magazines, sparked her lifelong passion for understanding the world and the people in it. Her love of languages and cultures took flight while traveling across Europe with her family as a teenager.

Andrea commissioned in 2020 from the U.S. Air Force Academy with military distinction and is a Top Graduate and Distinguished Graduate of the Air Force Logistics Readiness Officer Course. She is also an Air Advisor Mission Commander and has deployed to Mauritania, Senegal, the Philippines, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya.

Known not only for her glittering personality but also for her skill in translating high-level strategy into effective, on-the-ground operations, Andrea is a trailblazer in advancing global peace and security objectives. In March 2024, she was invited to the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, as a guest speaker and was recognized by the IPSTC Director for her work. In February 2025, she was honored by the UK in Kenya for her leadership in urban operations training on civilian harm mitigation and human terrain considerations for Air-Ground Integration.

Andrea earned a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, where her studies focused on risk policy, management, communication, and logistics applications. She also holds a doctorate in strategic leadership with an emphasis in strategic messaging and communication, and she is a published writer for Exceptional Release.

Outside of work, Andrea loves singing in French, is a recreational figure skater, and enjoys playing racquetball to classic rock and ’90s bubblegum pop.
