Things to Know
YOU are a historical figure. You may think you don't have a story.
But you do. Everyone has a story. It's a sacred piece of you and your legacy. It is a treasured historical artifact. Your story needs to be told.
Profound thanks to YOU and your overwhelming support in contributing to the success of this historic book - the story of the women of the Air Force Academy for the last 50 years.
It is scheduled to be published in March 2026, the Academy’s 50-year commemoration.

Your opportunity to contribute and preserve your legacy is still open, even though the submission window for the book has closed.

Our enduring mission is now launching Phase II:
-
Creating first-ever, permanent, searchable archives
-
Establishing mirror repositories around the country
-
Preserving individual and collective legacies of Air Force Academy women
-
YOUR opportunity to capture and preserve your story as an immutable piece of our country's national archives.
When you submit here, the USAFA Women HERitage Committee, in close partnership with the Library of Congress and USAFA Women Writers, will partner with you to create your submission for the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress.

In addition, your submission becomes immediately eligible for consideration for inclusion in the future anthology book slated for publication in Phase III.
Who May Submit
We are seeking submissions from ALL alumnae. Everyone who walked up the Ramp on that first day of BCT and experienced the Academy as women – grads & non-grads, of all diversities – are encouraged to submit.
