Dawn Bizub Androsky
Dawn Bizub Androsky was born in France and raised in Germany. An Army brat, the familiarity of military life and frequent moves spawned her love of travel. Adventure and challenges have always been part of her nature and when the United States Air Force Academy started accepting women, she readily applied and was accepted as a member of the Class of 1983.
After the Academy, Dawn spent five years on active duty as a Communications Officer and a Deputy Missile Combat Crew Commander-Airborne. She then transitioned into the Air Force Reserves and started climbing the corporate ladder at Sprint and Westinghouse culminating her civilian career as the Vice President of Marketing of the largest privately held telecommunications company on the eastern seaboard. With 25 years of military service under her combat boots, Dawn saw it all from Iraq to South Korea to Greece.
Following her military retirement, Dawn entered federal government service and rose through the ranks becoming a member of the Senior Executive Service where she contributed to national-level missions such as the pandemic response, Operation Warp Speed, and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Dawn didn’t just conquer the professional world; she has the brains to back it up. A lifelong learner, she’s earned a Doctorate, three master’s degrees, and Executive Certificates from Harvard and Cornell. An embracer of the power of storytelling, she self-published a children’s book for her granddaughter entitled Cannoli the Anole; facilitated Women’s History Month and Speed Mentoring panels; and has taught numerous sessions on resume writing, mentoring, and interviewing. But it is not all business suits and boardrooms: Dawn has been a staunch advocate for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence for over three decades.
Dawn retired to Dallas, Texas in 2022 to be closer to her family where she continues to live out her love of travel as an independent franchise owner of a travel agency. Her life journey has taken her from battlegrounds to boardrooms, and in 2025 she will achieve her greatest travel dream when she travels beyond Earth’s bounds into space.
